Upon graduation, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students in the Hospitality Management Program will be able to do the following:

The program is offered in a hybrid format. Most classes are available online with flexible timing.
We offer classes on 3 University of South Florida campuses: Tampa, St. Pete and Sarasota.

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, in School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (SHTL) has a total of 120 degree hours
Students must have a 2.0 overall and USF GPA and complete the following State Mandated Common Course Prerequisites:
FOR ALL MAJORS: Students are strongly encouraged to select required lower division electives that will enhance their general education coursework and that will support their intended baccalaureate degree program. Students should consult with an academic advisor in their major degree area.
The following courses are supporting courses for this major. They are required for the major, but are not counted in the total major hours but are counted toward the total program hours of 120 credit hours. The degree will not be awarded if these courses have not been taken by the end of the student’s final semester.

300 required internship hours must be completed during HFT 4945 within the Hospitality Industry. Departmental approval needed and must be in senior standing.
Students may choose any upper level HFT courses from the following:
HFT 2930, Special Topics in Hospitality, may be used to satisfy any outstanding lower-level electives.
