Meet the 2022 Hospitality Industry Fellows

The Hospitality Industry Fellowship program is a tool to recruit the best talent/minds to get graduate education in hospitality management and play a vital role in addressing the changes and challenges in the hospitality industry.

I have earned degree of MS in Human Resources Management coupled with Diploma of Labor Laws. Since January 2007; I have been demonstrated working experience of managing hospitality human resources on different HR positions, which carrying out preopening exposure of hotels, designing of policies & procedures and improving HR systems. I'm keen to learn & enthusiast in academia, training delivery and coaching. Also, cultivating & nurturing talent, counselling and fostering hopes among people. Aiming & aspiring to accelerate my professional career, after finishing off this competitive hospitality management degree program.

With over seven years of service in the hospitality industry Laur-Ann has a passion for delivering consistent exceptional customer service. Though she has spent time in a myriad of disciplines namely foodservice, catering & events management, concierge and front office, general operations management and food safety auditing, navigating the maintenance of hotel quality control systems has remained a favorite. Laur-Ann is meticulous and goal-oriented but practical and supportive.

Hailing from the beautiful island of Jamaica, I am a lover of food and adventures. From a young age, I have always loved the outdoors and would help in some way in the kitchen. Cooking at this early stage was the start of my passion for cooking which I now do professionally as a chef. I have been in the hospitality industry since 2015. My main career goal is to be a restaurateur/ executive chef. Sports, music and movies are other areas I have interests.

Kashif Ali Khan is innovative and dynamic management professional with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the City University of Science and IT, Peshawar Pakistan. By profession, he is an aesthetics Photographer and Media Manager. Mr. khan has an extensive experience in customer services and business development in the event and entertainment industry. He is the founder of “Memorious Moments Photography” a private limited company. He believes that a career in the hospitality industry is unlimited entertainment and an exciting thing to do.

Kashif Ali Khan

Usman Khan is an alumnus of Hazara University, Pakistan and a pioneer degree holder in Heritage Management (Distinction) with the collaboration of Leicester University, United Kingdom. He also did his MS degree in Business Administration from University of Peshawar. He has been working in education, training, and development since 2017. His professional expertise in tourism and hospitality education, learning & development, designing academics policies and programs. He worked as a faculty member and inclusively contributes to the establishment of tourism and hospitality departments in four different universities in Pakistan. He is also an education and training advisor for Arayana Hospitality Group.

Usman Khan

I was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. My first Master's degree is in The instruction of Foreign languages and Literature from Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. I've 7 years of hospitality experience in different departments (sales, marketing, reservation, SPA & recreation) and countries Ukraine, Germany. I've completed multiple professional courses: Hilton’s The Elevate 1 Program for future managers; The Social Media Marketing course at Kyiv Academy of Media Arts; Media Marketing Strategy at Social Media Marketing School. I'm confident that this program would enable me to offer a unique set of experiences to the hospitality industry worldwide.

Nomination and Selection

To be eligible for consideration for a fellowship, prospective students must meet the previously outlined criteria, have applied or been accepted to the Master of Science – Hospitality Management Program, and be nominated by the School Dean and Graduate Program Coordinator.
